None of the books told me that little boys go through a "slapstick stage" it should be in there after learning to climb and before full sentences. Connor has discovered that if he bonks his head on something (or someone) it might get a laugh - especially from other toddlers, so now he does it. His two little friends at daycare are one step away from Three Stooges. In other news - he tries to say his name now - it comes out Na-Nor, but I'll take it! --Sylvia

Last weekend I went two very different places:
Smith's Olde Bar seems like a great place to listen to local bands in a comfortable setting. The "Atlanta Room" is cozy, with couches and easy chairs. I only heard one artist perform, but Adam James was entertaining and well worth the price of admission alone. If he is at all indicative of the quality of performers there then I may well become a regular. There is no cover to get in to the pub or pool hall of this large bar, but the two separate music venues each have their own cover.
Opera nightclub was a blast with very loud pop/dance/club music. I had a great time with a few drinks and lots of dancing. They are having Benny Benassi play March 5 and I think I'll have to go out on a Wednesday!
I got to ride my motorcycle both nights, which was FANTASTIC!
This weekend I'll be heading to Florida for my brother's birthday, so there won't be so much going out.

Well, I am trying to start using this site since it has been up for so long! :)
I am at work and the HVAC just shut down, so I may be leaving soon because of that. I caught the ATV bug last weekend at my Uncle's home in Alabama, and Connor got his first ride in an off road golf cart (I don't know if they have category yet, but it's basically a golf cart set up to go wherever and ATV can go, which is just about anywhere!) on Ernie's property, where we got to cross streams and even ford a small one or two. Connor got to see his first turkeys on this trip, and we both got to see a flock of them take off from about 30 feet away. They flew off in groups of about 3-5, so it was about 30 seconds of repeatedly seeing groups take off! Very Cool!
Well, that's it for the first news item. I need to do some more work and get home.
